SNCISN COACHING AND IMMIGRATION

SNCI / CANADA-WIDE GUIDANCE

Refusals and immigration status concerns

A refusal or status concern can feel urgent. The first useful step is a clear account of what happened: the application, the dates, the decision and your current circumstances. SNCI helps you organize that information for a focused discussion.

Discuss your situation

Read the decision before choosing a response

We begin with the actual refusal or request letter and the material submitted with the application. The concerns in the decision need to be understood before discussing a new application, an explanation or any other possible response.

Permit expiry and visitor record questions

Bring a timeline of permits, expiry dates, applications and decisions. If you hold a visitor record or have a pending request, include those documents. The review considers your actual situation; it does not assume you can study or work simply because another application has been filed.

TRP and complex case discussions

A Temporary Resident Permit (TRP) question needs an individual review of the circumstances and available evidence. We can discuss your immigration history and the purpose of the proposed request. A difficult situation does not create an automatic entitlement to approval.

Deadlines and the next conversation

Mention any dates stated in an IRCC letter when requesting an appointment. Sending an inquiry to SNCI does not file an immigration application or preserve a government deadline. Where your matter needs services outside our agreed scope, that needs to be identified before work proceeds.

What to prepare for your consultation

  • The complete refusal or request letter
  • A dated immigration history
  • Copies of the application and supporting documents
  • Any government response deadline or upcoming permit expiry

Keep sensitive identity documents out of your initial inquiry. Ask the team how to share any documents securely once the consultation is confirmed.

Common questions

Should I submit the same application again immediately?

The decision and your circumstances should be reviewed first. A repeat application needs a considered explanation and appropriate evidence, rather than an assumption that it will have a different result.

Does a consultation protect my status or a deadline?

No. A consultation request is not an immigration filing. Tell the team about deadlines promptly and confirm what work, if any, has been agreed.
